What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(EVERTON ROAD, TEMPSFORD AND EVERTON HILL, EVERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Everton Road, Tempsford and Everton Hill, Everton 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
This temporary closure is required to enable an annual level crossing inspection to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11:00pm on the 2 February 2025 to 6:00am on the 3 February 2025.The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Everton Hill, Tempsford Road, Sandy Road, Everton Road, Swaden, B1042, A1, Blunham Lane, C54 from Blunham Lane to Station Road, Everton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 2 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(CHURCH LANE, WRESTLINGWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Lane, Wrestlingworth outside number 4.
This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 7 February 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure access will be maintained throughout.
The Order will come into operation on 7 February 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Paddocks, Potton between number 21 and 27.
This temporary closure is required to enable new point of connection and meter bypass works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 3 to 11 February 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 3 February 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(IVEL ROAD, SHEFFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ivel Road, Shefford opposite number 64.
This temporary closure is required to enable new electricity supply work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 24 January 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Southbridge Street, Ampthill Road, A507 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL –
NOTICE OF MAKING
TO INTRODUCE WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON
CHURCH STREET, BROAD STREET AND
ELM FARM CLOSE, CLIFTON
On 7th January 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Clifton:-
1. Church Street, both sides, from the junction with Grange Street and extending in a generally southerly direction for approximately 11 metres.
2. Church Street, west side, from the junction with Broad Street and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 8 metres.
3. Church Street, east side, from the junction with Broad Street and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 13 metres.
4. Broad Street, north side, from the junction with Church Street and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 32 metres.
5. Broad Street, north side, from the junction with Church Street and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 22 metres, ending at the junction with Elm Farm Close.
6. Elm Farm Close, both sides, from the junction with Broad Street and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 19 metres.
7. Broad Street, north side, from the junction with Elm Farm Close and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 3.5 metres.
8. Newis Crescent, both sides, from the junction with Broad Street and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 11 metres.
To introduce No stopping on School Entrance Markings from Monday - Friday between 8am and 4:00pm on the following lengths of road in Clifton:-
1. Church Street, east side, from a point for approximately 8.5 metres south-east of Lamp Column No.4 and extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 25 metres.
Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedfordshire County Council (District of Mid Bedfordshire) (Civil Enforcement Area and Special Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2008) (Variation No.2) Order 2025 Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 24th January 2025.

TICKETLESS PARKING
Central Bedfordshire Council consented to Biggleswade Town Council making the below named Traffic Regulation Order on 6th January 2025 which has the effect as follows:-
To remove the need to display a ticket (including during free periods) when parking in the following Car Parks:-
1. Mill Lane
2. St Andrews Street
3. Dan Albone
4. Chestnut Avenue
5. Rose Lane
6. White Hart
Please note:
• Car parking fees will not change in 2024/25
• The current timing limits in all six car parks will remain unchanged
Order Title:- Biggleswade Town Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2024
Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 24th January 2025.
