Old Dalkieth Road, Edinburgh - Temporary Road restiction
What is happening?
THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL
(OLD DALKEITH ROAD AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/10
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle between 7pm & 7am DAILY on: (i) Little France Rd, at its jnct with Old Dalkeith Rd; & (ii) moredunvale Rd, between its jnct with Old Dalkeith Rd and the roundabout at Nether/Upper Craigour; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) Ferniehill Rd, from its jnct with Old Dalkeith Rd, south-westwards for 60m; & (ii) Old Dalkeith Rd, from its jnct with Moredunvale Rd, south-westwards to 18m south-east of its jnct with Ferniehill Rd. Existing restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (i) Little France Rd – Little France Drv & Old Dalkeith Rd; & (ii) moredunvale Rd: (1) Old Dalkeith Rd, Ferniehill Drv, Drum St, Gilmerton Rd & Moredunvale Rd; or (2) Old Dalkeith Rd, Kingston Ave, Gilmerton Rd & Moredunvale Rd. The order shall have effect from 20/1/25 to 27/4/25.
