What is happening?
THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2025
On 15 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “Berry Hill” to the northwestern property boundary line of “Orchard House” and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar.
Alternative Route – Farm Lane (C56), Headley Road (C56), Tilley Lane (C56), Clay Lane (C56), Church Lane (C56), Tot Hill (B2033), Leech Lane (B2033), Mill Way (B2033), Reigate Road (B2033), By-Pass Road (A24), Leatherhead Road (A24), The Street (A24) and Park Lane (D2628) or; Chalk Lane (X15245), Oaken Coppice (D2627) and Park Lane (D2628).
This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out installing new telegraph poles, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:30am and 2:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 4) 2025
On 15 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Waterhouse Lane (C135) Kingswood which extends from its junction with Alcocks Lane (X25224) to its junction with Brighton Road (A217) and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024” in its entirety.
Alternative Route – Clockwise: Waterhouse Lane (C135), Bonsor Drive (B2032), Brighton Road (A217), Reigate Road (A240), Tattenham Way (B2221) and Brighton Road (A217). Anti clockwise: Brighton Road (A217), Bonsor Drive (B2032) and Waterhouse Lane (C135).
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out replacing telegraph pole, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Deepdene Gardens (D2834) and Moores Road (D2834) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 15 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Deepdene Gardens (D2834) Dorking which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “4 Deepdene Gardens” for 25m in a northwestward direction and; (b) Moores Road (D2834) Dorking which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “6 Moores Road” to its junction with Deepdene Gardens (D2834).
Alternative Route – Deepdene Gardens (D2834), Cotmandene (D2834) and Moores Road (D2834).
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
C132 Ranmore Road, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C132 Ranmore Road, Dorking that extends from the southern side of the “Ranmore Road Railway Bridge”, to the south-western property boundary of “No.18 Ranmore Road”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains installation and/or connection and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 2 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, cyclists, equestrians, and to affected residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Chalkpit Lane and Ashcombe Road.
D2814 Church Street, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2814 Church Street, Dorking that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D2814 Meadowbrook Road, to its junction with A2003 Station Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable TSE Group to carry out excavations and/or civils and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 6am within 2 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route:- Church Street, North Street, South Street, Vincent Lane and West Street.
Outwood Lane (C70) Bletchingley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned
Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Outwood Lane (C70) Bletchingley as extends from its junction with Sandhills Farm to a point 110 metres south of this junction.
Alternative Route – High Street (A25), Godstone Road (A25), Bletchingley Road (A25), High Street (B2236), Eastbourne Road (B2236), Eastbourne Road (A22), Byers Lane, Whitewood Lane, Hornecourt Hill and Gayhouse Lane or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Road Traffic Solutions Ltd in connection with utility and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Tupwood Scrubbs Road (D1440) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Tupwood Scrubbs Road (D1440) Caterham which extends from its junction with Harestone Hill (N1433) to its junction with Tupwood Lane (D1434) and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) to this Notice. Alternative Route – Tupwood Scrubbs Road (D1440), Gravelly Hill (D1441), Weald Way (D1442), Harestone Valley Road (D1432), Station Avenue (B2030), Godstone Road (B2030) and Tupwood Lane (D1434) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow SGN to carry out gas mains replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 months 1 day, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 February 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.
Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield which extends from its junction with Swissland Hill (X34035) to its junction with Blackberry Road (D412).
Alternative Route – Blackberry Lane (D412), Station Road (D412), Mutton Hill (D412), Hollow Lane (C91), Shepards Grove Lane, Holtye Road (A246), Blackwell Road (A246), Moat Road (A246), London Road (A22), Lingfield Road (C88), Felcourt Road (C88) and Blackberry Lane (D412) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow SES Water to carry out water main connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 7 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 05 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.
Rectory Lane (D2525) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rectory Lane (D2525) Bookham which extends from its junction with Guildford Road (A246) to the northwestern property boundary line of “Kingsway”.
Alternative Route – Rectory Lane (D2525), Lower Road (D265), The Lorne (D2585), Guildford Road (A246) and Rectory Lane (D2525).
This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out telegraph pole replacement works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 March 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
