(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary traffic restrictions on Roads in Haywards Heath as follows:
Church Road: From its junction with The Broadway eastwards for 30m – closed to westbound traffic from 20 Jan 2025 to 6 June 2025
Phase 1: The Broadway: Prohibition of right turn onto Muster Green South. South Road: suspension of parking bays on the southern side of the road from its junction with Muster Green South, eastwards for 75m. These restrictions apply from 20 January 2025 for 8 weeks.
Phase 2: South Road: parking suspended on northern side of the road from a point 60m east of its junction with Muster Green South, eastwards for 35m from 14 April 2025 for 3 weeks.
Phase 3: The Broadway: from its junction with Muster Green North northwards for 75m – closed to southbound traffic from 12 May 2025 for 4 weeks.
These restrictions are needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order is expected to operate on the dates listed above, but once made may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Mid Sussex District: Various Roads)
(Roads Maintenance Programme)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, temporarily prohibit waiting at any time and temporarily introduce a 20 mph speed limit throughout the whole length (unless otherwise stated) of the flowing roads in Mid Sussex District:
ANSTY & STAPLEFIELD: A272 from Bolney Road to Broad Street.
BURGESS HILL: St Johns Avenue. CUCKFIELD: B2036 from Cuckfield Bypass to Church Platt. EAST GRINSTEAD: A22 from
London Road to Lewes Road and London Road to Beeching Way, East Street from Selsfield Road to Saint Hill Road. HASSOCKS:
A273 from Mill Lane to New Way Lane, Chancellors Park,
Ditchling Road from Brighton Road to Spring Lane, Grand Avenue from Keymer Road to Adastra Avenue, Underhill Lane from Clayton Hill to Spring Lane. HAYWARDS HEATH: B2272 from Colwell Road to the Birch Hotel Roundabout, Frankton Avenue from B2272 to Woodridge Close, Lewes Road Access Road, Lower Village from A272 to Deers Leap, Traunstein Way from Highbank Roundabout to Bolnore Roundabout.
HURSTPIERPOINT & SAYERS COMMON: Chalkers Lane from
College Lane to Danworth Lane, College Lane/Malthouse Lane from Wickham Drive to Jane Murray Way. WORTH: A2220 from Mereworth Drive to Old Hollow, A264 from the A23 to Dukes
Head Roundabout, Sandy Lane, Vicarage Road/Hophurst Lane/ Hophurst Hill from Turners Hill Road to Furnace Farm Road.
These restrictions are needed to allow road maintenance works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to take up to three days and dates for works will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time they are carried out.
The Order will come into effect on 3 February 2025 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Cuckfield and Ansty & Staplefield: Public Footpaths
65Cr and 8bCu) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the route formed by public footpaths 65Cr and 8bCu in the parishes of Cuckfield and Ansty & Staplefield from its junction with the A272 southwards to its junction with Public Footpath 62Cr.
The closure of this route is needed due to the unsafe condition of a footbridge on the affected route.
The Order continues the effect of a previously issued emergency closure notice and will come into effect on 21 January 2025. It is expected to remain in effect for 6 months and may need to be extended after this period.
Unfortunately, during the operative period of this order, no direct alternative route is available.
