(Pulborough: Broomers Hill Lane)
(Temporary Day-Time Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Broomers Hill Lane between Cray Lane and Mare Hill Road.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway drainage works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 3 February 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is proposed works will start on or after 3 February 2025 daily between 0930 and 1530 hours and will take 10 days to complete.

(Highways Maintenance Programme)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close, introduce a temporary prohibition of waiting at anytime on the following roads throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated. This Order will also introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on major ‘A’ class roads and a temporary 20mph speed limit on minor and non-classified roads:
Billingshurst: A29, from Billingshurst Bypass roundabout junction to Lordings Road; Bridgewater Close; Stane Street; Billingshurst & West Chiltington: B2133, between Stane Street and Coolham Road; Bramber: Maudlin Lane, between Clay Lane and Castle Lane roundabout junction; Bramber & Steyning: High Street/Bramber Road/Clays Hill, between Church Street and the A283; Cowfold: A272 Station Road, between Stonehouse Lane and The Street; Horsham: A264 Horsham northern bypass (westbound) filter lane to Old Holbrook; North Horsham: Bramber Close; Clovers End; Greenfields Road; Old Holbrook; Shepherds Way; Rudgwick: Honeywood Lane Access Road; Slinfold & Warnham: A29, between Clemsfold roundabout junction to Marches Road; Rowhook Road, between Waterlands Lane and Guildford Road; Steyning & Washington: A283 from the ex-A283 to The Pike; Warnham: A264 Horsham Northern bypass (eastbound) filter Lane to Old Holbrook; Bognor Road/ Marches Road, between the A29 ad the A24; The Marches; Mayes Lane; and
(i) prohibit any vehicle from making a right turn from the Horsham Northern bypass (westbound) onto Old Holbrook; and
(ii) close the footway on Copperfield Place, Horsham and, close footpath E146 North Horsham Goose Green/Gorseway/ Heath Close/Heathway/Owlscastle Close, footpath E137 Steyning, between Coxham Lane and Shooting Field and footpath E135 West Grinstead between No. 23 and No. 29 Burrell Close.
These restrictions are needed to protect public safety whilst the 2025 highways maintenance programme is carried out. It is expected that the affected roads will be closed for upto 3 days. Reduced speed limits may be required during the works and between phases of the works. The exact dates and duration of the works and the traffic management in each location will be confirmed in advance locally nearer the time.
The Order will come into effect on 30 January 2025 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the works programme is completed, whichever is earlier.
During the works alternative routes for vehicles and/or pedestrians will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
