(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE)
EXTENSION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Secretary of State has agreed to extend the closure of Public Footpath No 12 in the Parish of Longframlington, in the County of Northumberland.
The length of Public Footpath No 12 which is affected is as follows:-
From a point 125 metres east of Lightpipe Farm in a northerly direction for a distance of 40 metres then continuing on in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 40 metres to a point 145 metres south-east of Ash Cottage.
There is an alternative route available from a point 125 metres east of Lightpipe Farm in an easterly direction for a distance of 45 metres over existing Public Footpath No 14 then in a northerly direction for a distance of 50 metres to a point 145 metres south-east of Ash Cottage.
The Order which came into force on the 22nd July 2024 and which, would have expired on the 22nd January 2025 will continue to be in force until 23rd December 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The extension has been requested by George F White LLP in the interests of public safety to facilitate construction of a housing development.
