What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Various Roads, Harrogate, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2), 2(4) & 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any heavy commercial vehicle (i.e. any goods vehicle which has an operating weight exceeding 7.5 tonnes) from proceeding along any road or length of road specified in the following table, except for certain permitted purposes which include the conveyance of goods/access to or from premises situated on or adjacent to any of those roads, for the purposes of agriculture on land accessible from & only from any of those roads or for the garaging, servicing or repairing of a vehicle at premises accessible from and only from any of those roads. Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Cyclists & Horse Traffic, Public Bridleway 15.54/77/2, Pannal, Order 2025 No. 25 We have made this Order to prohibit any pedestrian, cyclist or person riding or leading a horse from using the Public Bridleway 15.54/77/2 in the Parish of Pannal, between grid reference SE30685270 & SE30625256 for a temporary period of 6 months (subject to access to premises) between 31/01/25 & 31/07/25, due the replacement of a bridge. The Bridleway will only be closed for the time it will be required for works, which is estimated to be 2 weeks. The alternative route has a footway the full length of Leeds Road. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
