NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(COMMON EDGE ROAD, DIVISION LANE AND QUEENSWAY, LYTHAM ST ANNES, FYLDE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION AND 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202*

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2), 83(2) and 84 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) "The Borough Council Of Lytham St. Annes (40 m.p.h. Speed Limit) (No. 1) Order, 1969" in full.
b) "The Lancashire County Council (Restricted Roads)(No. 2) Order 1983" in full.
c) "The Lancashire County Council (B5261 Queensway, Lytham St Annes, Fylde Borough) (Revocation And Restricted Road) Order 1998" in full
Where no further speed limit is re-introduced, the speed limit will revert to restricted road status by virtue of street lighting, where a 30mph speed limit will apply.
2. Introduce a 40mph speed limit on Queensway, Lytham St Annes, from a point 81 metres north east of its junction with the centreline of the exit of Kilnhouse Lane to a point 125 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Division Lane.

A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Fylde Borough Council, Town Hall, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx. Any representations or objections (specifying the grounds on which they are made) relating to the proposal must be made in writing and should be sent to The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, P O Box 100, County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD or by e-mail to tro-consultation@lancashire.gov.uk quoting ref:LSG4\894. 20073\AFR before the 13 February 2025.
