ORDER 2025 (TROM_321)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made the above-named Order under Sections 81 to 84 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 20th January 2025 will be to introduce a 30 miles per hour speed restriction on the following lengths of highways in the County of Northumberland:-

Exemptions are included in the Order for police, fire and rescue, ambulance and special forces purposes.
This Order will hereby revoke all previous Orders or sections of Orders detailing speed limits on the lengths of highways specified in the Schedule of this Order.
A copy of the Order, together with a plan and any other relevant documents, notices or Orders as appropriate as well as a Statement of the Council's reasons making the Order are available to view or download on the NCC Website https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/Highways/Roads/Traffic.aspx#4trafficregulationorders or can be requested by email to HighwaysProgramme@northumberland.gov.uk, or may be inspected by appointment during normal office hours at County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF - please contact Highways Improvements, Technical Services, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF by email at HighwaysProgramme@northumberland.gov.uk or by telephone on 0345 600 6400 during normal office hours quoting reference: TROM_321.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made apply to the High Court for that purpose.
