ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14(1)

(Miles Hill View, Miles Hill, Leeds) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways Road Closure for Gas Works Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Miles Hill View, Miles Hill, Leeds in the Chapel Allerton Ward at its junction with Scott Hall Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Scott Hall Road, Stainbeck Lane, Miles Hill Road, Vice Versa. Miles Hill View, Potternewton Lane, Scott Hall Road. The Order is intended to come into operation on Wednesday 29th January 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Wednesday 12th February 2025. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day. K Krawczyk. Ref: 312501

(Queen Street and St Pauls Street, Leeds) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Parking) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because kerbing and carriageway resurfacing works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to park along Queen Street and St Pauls Street, Leeds in the Little London Woodhouse Ward between its junctions with Grace Street and Park Place. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Friday 31 January 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 14 February 2025. The restriction will be in place 24 hours per day.

(Thornhill Road, Upper Wortley, Leeds) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because gas main replacement works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Thornhill Road, Upper Wortley, Leeds in the Farnley & Wortley Ward between its junctions with Kilburn Road and Tong Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Kilburn Road, Goodwin Road, Hawkhurst Road, Thornhill Road, Upper Wortley Road, Cross Lane, Tong Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Friday 31st January 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 14th February 2025.

(Headingley Stadium Events) 

(Temporary Traffic Management Measures) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger arising to the public (holding of events); Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: 1: No person shall cause any vehicle, (between Midnight and 23:59 hours, on the event dates specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice) to: a) proceed along St Michael’s La between its junctions with Newport View and Beechwood Cres; b) proceed along St Michael’s La, between its junctions with Cardigan Rd and Newport View; other than in a SW direction c) proceed along Newport View between its junctions with St Michael’s La and Newport Rd; other than in in a SE direction, or d) enter or be in the 3 disabled bays on Kirkstall La, or to wait with the exception of Taxi’s. 2: No person shall cause any vehicle to stop (between Midnight and 23:59 hours, on the event dates specified in Schedules 1 & 2 to this Notice) on sections of: St Michael’s La; Beechwood Cres; Kirkstall La; Headingley Mount; Cardigan Rd; Victoria Rd; St Michael’s Grove; St Michael’s Road; Canterbury Road; Headingley Ave; Estcourt Ave; St Anne’s Drive & Lane; St Ann’s Way & Square (the whole); Queenswood Rise (the whole); Stanmore Cres; Stanmore Terr (the whole); Bentcliffe Drive; Batcliffe Mount; St Chad’s Drive; St Chad’s View; Beckett’s Park Drive; Newport View and Newport Cres. The Order detailed above is intended to come into operation as necessary for the following events on the dates specified, (Provided That should any of the events be rescheduled, or additional events be scheduled the Order will also operate on the revised/additional dates). Schedule 1 – Cricket Matches on: 20-24 June; 17 July & 2 Sept 2025 and on the dates of ‘The Hundred’ cricket matches, still to be announced. Schedule 2 – Rugby League & Cricket Matches on: 26 Jan; 15 Feb; 2 & 22 March; 11-14 April; 18-19 April; 25 April; 2-5 May; 16 May; 23-26 May; 30-31 May; 1 & 8 June; 13-14 June; 27 June; 4,11,13 & 18 July; 2 & 21 Aug; 11 Sept & 24-27 Sept 2025 (Provided That should any of the events be rescheduled, or additional events be scheduled the Order will also operate on the revised/ additional dates).
