PART OF A6178 SHEFFIELD ROAD TEMPLEBOROUGH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of A6178 Sheffield Road in an easterly direction from Bradmarsh Way Roundabout to Ickles Roundabout from 9pm on Thursday 30th. January until 1pm on Friday 31st. January 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via A6178 Sheffield Road, Tinsley Viaduct lower deck, A6109 Meadow Bank Road, Wilton Lane, Wilton Gardens, A629 New Wortley Road and Centenary Way.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Common Road from the north western kerb line of Southards Lane for a distance of approximately 115m in a north westerly direction on Monday 20th. January 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected will be via Common Road, Netherthorpe Road, Back Lane, Worksop Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the part of road (stop tap renewal works).

WESTBOUND) (BUS LANE AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2013)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily suspend part of the Rotherham Borough Council (A630 Doncaster Road-south westbound) (Bus Lane and prohibition of stopping, loading and unloading) Order 2013 and to suspend use of the bus lane on that part of A630 Doncaster Road from its junction with Cross Street for a distance of approximately 305m in south westerly direction from Sunday 19th. January until Sunday 9th. February 2025.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in items (i) and (ii) of the Schedule to this Notice and to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the footpath specified in items (iii) of the Schedule for periods of time between Monday 5th. June and Friday 30th. June 2023.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road and footpath (Gas main renewals).

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Redevelopment works).

COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2025

COMPULSORY PURCHASE OF LAND AND NEW RIGHTS IN

DINNINGTON, ROTHERHAM

1.    Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has made The Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (Dinnington Market Place) Compulsory Purchase Order 2025 under section 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and section 13 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation and, if confirmed, the order will authorise Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of facilitating the demolition or refurbishment of disused, derelict aging and declining town centre buildings to facilitate a town centre redevelopment which comprises modern commercial space, landscaped town square including a demountable market offer, with associated storage unit, car parking, and servicing capable of meeting the demands of a 21st Century local retail environment.

2.    A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be seen at Riverside House, Main Street, Rotherham, S60 1AE (8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday or 9am-4pm on Saturday) or Dinnington Community Library, Laughton Road,  S25 2PS (9am-5pm Monday to Friday or 9am-1pm on Saturday).

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AND THE NEW RIGHTS

The land to be acquired

In Dinnington all interests other than those owned by the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council in approximately: 4,798 square metres of commercial premises known as 32a to 56 (evens) Laughton Road; Band Hall and surrounding hardstanding; Dinnington Outdoor Market; and surrounding pedestrian thoroughfare and alleyways between Laughton Road and Constable Lane.

The new rights to be acquired New rights are required for the construction of the scheme over approximately  124 square metres of hardstanding car park and pedestrian thoroughfare. These will be reinstated upon completion of the scheme. 9 January 2025

January 2025 and which comes into effect on the 20th. January 2025. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 27th. June 2024 and is to introduce ‘No Waiting at any Time’ to the parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.
