ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)(a) THE M42 MOTORWAY AND A45 TRUNK ROAD (M42 JUNCTION 6) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an Order on the M42 Motorway and the A45 Trunk Road, in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, to enable link road construction and associated works to be carried out.

The effect of the Order, will be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed restriction on —
(1) the slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of the M42 at Junction 6, to its roundabout junction with the A45 (Bickenhill Interchange) and
(2) the circulatory carriageway of Bickenhill Interchange.

The work is expected to start on Wednesday 22 January 2025 and continue for approximately eleven months. The Order will come into force on 20 January 2025 and will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes or for special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction.
