What is happening?

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice Of Establishment Of A Zebra Crossing At Compstall Road Marple Bridge 

Notice Is Hereby Given that the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to establish a Zebra Crossing at Compstall Road, Marple Bridge at a point 9.5 metres north of the northerly kerb line of Edward Street/8 metres north of the northerly kerb line of Cote Green Lane. 

The extent of the controlled area will extend along the east side of Compstall Road for a point 24,5 metres north of its intersection with the northerly kerbline of Edward Street to a point 4 metres south of its intersection with the southerly kerbline of Edward Street, and the west side of Compstall Road from a point 26 metres north of its intersection with the northerly kerbline of Cote Green Lane to a point 9 metres south of its intersection with the southerly kerb line of Cote Green Lane.
