Hertfordshire, hemel Hempstead/Aldbury/Gubblecote/Berkhamstead - Temporary road closures and traffic restrictions, to allow for utility works.
What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN RISEDALE ROAD/ ATHELSTAN ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Risedale Road/Athelstan Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point 110m south east of its junction with Langley Avenue south eastwards for a distance of approximately 55m (“the length of Roads”).
An alternative route will be via Risedale Road, Langley Avenue, Leys Road, Stonelea Road, Hobbs Hill Road and Athelstan Road. or via Athelstan Road, Hobbs Hill Road, Stonelea Road, Leys Road, Langley Avenue, Sunrise Crescent, Langley Avenue and Risedale Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of these length of roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ST JOHNS ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Johns Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Sebright Road south eastwards to its junction with Pullers Road, a distance of approximately 119m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via St Johns Road, Fishery Road, A4251 London Road, A4146 Station Road and St Johns Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STOCKS ROAD, ALDBURY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Stocks Road, Aldbury from its junction with Aldbury Public Footpath No,027 southwards and westwards for a distance of approximately 103m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Stocks Road, B488 Upper Icknield Way, Northfield Road, Station Road and Stocks Road.
The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WINGRAVE ROAD, GUBBLECOTE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Wingrave Road, Gubblecote from its junction with Tring Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 306m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Tring Road, Cheddington Lane, Long Marston Road, Mentmore Road, High Street, Wellington Place, B489 Lower Icknield Way and Wingrave Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WOODLANDS AVENUE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Woodlands Avenue, Berkhamsted from its junction with Hazel Road south westwards to its junction with Briar Way, a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hazel Road and Briar Way.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 21 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hempstead Lane, Potten End/Berkhamsted Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with The Common south eastwards to its junction with Pouchen End Lane, a distance of approximately 1174m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via The Common, Water End Road, Potten End Hill, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Galley Hill, Boxted Road and Berkhamsted Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.
