What is happening?

PROVISION OF TRAFFIC CALMING - NEWTON, MAIN STREET AND WELLINGTON AVENUE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 90A - 90I of the Highways Act 1980 (traffic calming hump), proposes to install two raised traffic calming plateaus on Main Street and two pairs of speed cushions on Wellington Avenue, Newton, in the Borough of Rushcliffe:

The extents of the plateaus and speed cushions are detailed below:

MAIN STREET, NEWTON -Approximately 285 metres south-east of its junction with East Bridgford Road.
-Approximately 28 metres north-west of its junction with Wellington Avenue.

WELLINGTON AVENUE, NEWTON
- Approximately 10 metres south-west of its junction with Trenchard Close.
- Approximately 17 metres south-west of its junction with Fairway Crescent. Further details can be found by visiting the County Council’s website (https://consult. nottinghamshire.gov.uk)

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing at tmconsultation@viaem. co.uk (quoting ref: Newton, Main Street and Wellington Avenue - Raised Plateau) and must be received by the 11th February 2025.
