What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U6320 EAST BARTON ROAD, GREAT BARTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6320 East Barton Road, Great Barton to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Mount Road, Rougham, Mount Road, Orttewell Road, Bury St Edmunds, A143 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 – 17/01/2025 from 8am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U8015 ELDERSTUB LAND AND THE GREEN, ROUGHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U8015 Elderstub Lane, Rougham
  2. U8015 The Green, Rougham

This is to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Blackthorpe, Almshouse Road, The Green and vice versa
  2. Elderstub Lane, Blackthorpe, Almshouse Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

13/01/2025 – 15/01/2025

15/01/2025 – 17/01/2025.

There will also be a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U5903 BELLS LANE, HINDERCLEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5903 Bells Lane, Hindercley to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Gobbetts Lane, Wash Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 – 15/01/2025 from 8am – 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1075 FALCON STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1075 Falcon Street, Ipswich from the Westbound carriageway only to facilitate remedial water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Greyfriars Road, Key Way, Greyfriars Road, Star Lane, Waterworks Street, Eagle Street, Orwell Place, St Helen's Street and vice versa.
  2. Southbound Star Lane, Waterworks Street, Eagle Street, Orwell Place, St Helen's Street, Key Way and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/01/2025 to 16/01/2025. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7420 FOLEY LANE, LAWSHALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7420 Foley Lane, Lawshall from Brands Lane to Appleberry House to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brands Lane, Hawshed, Brands Lane, Lawshall, Brands Lane, Bradfield Combust, Bury Road, Bradfield Combust, Bury Road, Lawshall, Rectory Corner, Lambs Lane, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 – 19/01/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1066 PARK ROAD, BOXTED

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1066 Park Road, Boxted from Park Farm House for 50 meters northbound to facilitate pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1066, the A143, the A1302, the A134, the A1092, the B1066 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 12/01/2025 from 9:30am – 3:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1079 NEW STREET, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1079 New Street, Woodbridge from no. 52 for 25 metres eastbound to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1079, the A12, the B1438, the B1079, Vicarage Hill, St John's Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 – 14/01/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3125 ARNELA ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3125 Arnela Road, Felixstowe from no. 14 to no. 30 to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be High Street, Maidstone Road, Sea Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 – 17/01/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
