The Isle of Wight Council’s Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Quarry Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 21 January 2025 until 0630 hours on Wednesday 22 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, Quarry Road, Ryde, will be closed from its junction with St Johns Road for a distance of 28 meters in a southern direction. The diversion route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Chapel Lane, Merstone, Arreton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 20 January 2025 until 1600 hours on Thursday 23 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, Chapel Lane will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Church Road, Havenstreet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 20 January 2025 until 1600 hours on Friday 24 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, Church Road will be closed between its junctions with Havenstreet Main Road and Pondcast Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Pallance Lane, Northwood, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Thursday 23 January 2025 until 1600 hours on Friday 24 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, Pallance Lane will be closed between its junctions with Pallance Road and a point 150 meters south-east thereof. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Upper House Lane, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Thursday 23 January 2025 until 1600 hours on Monday 27 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, Upper House Lane will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for utility works.

The Isle of Wight Council (St Catherine Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 20 January 2025 until 1800 hours on Friday 25 January 2025, or when the works have been completed, St Catherine Street will be closed between its junction with Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine Steps. The one-way restriction along St Catherine Street will be revoked for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restrictions are required for utility works and to allow access to premises.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 17 January 2025 and Friday 18 March 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 10 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 meters of any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

The Isle of Wight Council (Gate Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025 – Gate Lane will be closed for its entire length.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 17 January 2025 and Friday 18 March 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately one to 3 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and investigation works to be undertaken.
