GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A487 (STRYD Y BONT, Y STRYD FAWR A SGWÂR OWAIN GLYNDWˆ R, ABERYSTWYTH, CEREDIGION) (GWAHARDD CERBYDAU DROS DRO) 2025

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 16A o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn cynnal Gorymdaith Dydd Santes Dwynwen ar Gefnffordd yr A487, neu gerllaw iddi, yn Aberystwyth, Ceredigion.

Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd, ac eithrio’r rhai sy’n cael eu defnyddio gan y gwasanaethau brys neu ar gyfer y digwyddiad, rhag mynd ar:

  1. y darn o Gefnffordd yr A487 o’r enw Stryd y Bont sy’n ymestyn o’i chyffordd â Stryd y Frenhines hyd at ei chyffordd â’r Stryd Fawr;
  2. y darn o Gefnffordd yr A487 o’r enw Y Stryd Fawr sy’n ymestyn o’i chyffordd â Stryd y Bont a Heol y Wig hyd at ei chyffordd â Stryd y Popty;
  3. y darn o Gefnffordd yr A487 o’r enw Sgwâr Owain Glyndwˆr sy’n ymestyn o’i chyffordd â Stryd y Popty hyd at ei chyffordd â Ffordd y Môr.

Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig yw ar hyd Dan Dre a Ffordd Alexandra tua’r gogledd-ddwyrain gan droi i’r chwith ar Ffordd y Môr tua’r gogledd i ailymuno â’r A487 yn Rhodfa’r Gogledd.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 25 Ionawr 2025 a bydd yn para am 1 diwrnod ar y mwyaf. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol rhwng 13:45 a 14:15 o’r gloch ar y dyddiad hwnnw.

THE A487 TRUNK ROAD (BRIDGE STREET, GREAT DARKGATE STREET & OWAIN GLYNDWR SQUARE, ABERYSTWYTH, CEREDIGION) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2025

THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to hold the Santes Dwynwen’s Day Parade on or near the A487 Trunk Road at Aberystwyth, Ceredigion.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, other than those being used by the emergency services or for the event, from proceeding on:

  1. the length of the A487 Trunk Road known as Bridge Street that extends from its junction with Queen Street to its junction with Great Darkgate Street.
  2. the length of the A487 Trunk Road known as Great Darkgate Street that extends from its junction with Bridge Street and Pier Street to its junction with Baker Street;
  3. the length of the A487 Trunk Road known as Owain Glyndwr Square that extends from its junction with Baker Street to its junction with Terrace Road.

The alternative route for traffic is via the north-eastbound Mill Street and Alexandra Road turning left onto the northbound Terrace Road to rejoin the A487 at North Parade.

The Order comes into force on 25 January 2025 and has a maximum duration of 1 day.

The temporary prohibition is expected to operate from 13:45 to 14:15 hours on that date.
