Yr Amgylchedd a Thechnoleg

Wrexham County Borough Council has made a TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 effective from 13/01/2025 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Central Road, Wrexham from a point 32 metres west (adjacent to lamp column 2) of its junction with A5152 Bradley Road to outside its junction for the entrance to McDonalds in a westerly direction for a distance of 123 meters to enable O’Connor Utilities (on behalf of Scottish Power) to install new supply in the carriageway and footway.

The closure will only take place on one lane at a time on the gyratory, so a diversion route is not required.

In addition to the lane closure on Central Road, a footway closure will be in place on the southern footpath along Central Road, from the Pedestrian Crossing on Bradley Road to the exit junction of Central Retail Park by B&M Stores.

An alternative route for pedestrians will be provided and adequately signed.

The prohibition is expected to last for 10 working days (24/01/2025), or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
