A13 TRUNK ROAD (STIFFORD INTERCHANGE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A13 Trunk Road in the Unitary Authority of Thurrock, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prevent incursion into works proposed to be executed on the Unitary Authority of Thurrock network.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closures of all the slip roads in phases at Stifford Interchange (A1012).
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake signal installation and all associated works on the Unitary Authority of Thurrock network.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 2 months starting on or after Monday 3rd February 2025.
The Order would come into force on 1st February 2025 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted either eastbound on the A13 to Orsett Cock Interchange (A128) and return or westbound on the A13 to Mardyke Interchange (M25 Junction 30) and return as appropriate.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
