Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

A429 COVENTRY ROAD, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between St John’s and Primrose Hill (at the junction of Lakin Road and Station Avenue). In addition, the 7.5t environmental weight restriction between St Nicholas Church Street and Crompton Street will be temporarily suspended.

Reason for Order: Carriageway surfacing and associated works, overnight, 20.00hrs-06.00hrs.

Order Commences: 15 January 2025 for up to 18  months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Via St John’s, St Nicholas Church Street, Castle Hill, Jury Street, High Street, West Street, Stratford Road, Longbridge Roundabout, Warwick Bypass (A46), Blacklow Roundabout, Coventry Road and Via Coventry Road, Kenilworth Bypass (A46), Warwick Bypass (A46), Longbridge Roundabout, Stratford Road, West Street, High Street, Jury Street, Castle Hill, Smith Street, St John’s, Coventry Road. Vehicular Access maintained to adjacent properties, except 21-21A Coventry Road, and 70-78 Coventry Road where access cannot be maintained due to the activities taking place on site.

CREWE LANE, KENILWORTH

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from the golf course to the bridge.

Reason for Order: To enable works to install street lighting and associated infrastructure.

Order Commences: 13 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 24 January 2025

Access & Diversion: Crewe Lane, Glasshouse Lane, Birches Lane, St Johns, Leamington Road, Warwick Bypass, Ashow Road and vice versa.

GREEN LANE, SHREWLEY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable installation of Boundary Box and Meter.

Order Commences: 13 January 2025 for up to 18  months.

Anticipated Completion: 15 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Green Lane, Coffee Pot Lane, Stoney Lane, Mill Lane and vice versa.

D4304 SOMERS PLACE, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed between Regent Street and Portland Place West.

Reason for Order: Carriageway patching works, closed 08.00hrs-16.00hrs.

Order Commences: 17 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 17 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Regent Street, Grove Street, Portland Place West and vice versa. Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible and safe to do so.

JOHN STREET, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed from its junction with Bedford Street.

Reason for Order: Works to install new electricity supply.

Order Commences: 13 January 2025 for up to 18  months.

Anticipated Completion: 31 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Bedford Street, Windsor Place, Windsor Street.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

MYTON CRESCENT, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable renewal of pipework.

Order Commences: 28 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 30 January 2025

Access & Diversion: Myton Crescent, Myton Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

HOLYWELL, ROWINGTON

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Boundary box installation works.

Order Commences: 28 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 29 January 2025

Access & Diversion: Holywell, High Cross Lane, The Cumsey, Lye Green and vice versa.

LONG ITCHINGTON ROAD, HUNNINGHAM

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable installation of new water connections.

Order Commences: 29 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 31 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Long Itchington Road, Leamington Road, Fosse Way and vice versa.

Contractor: Network Plus, Tel: 01332 820 920.

ROUNCIL LANE, KENILWORTH

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To safely enable the renewal of a meter.

Order Commences: 29 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 31 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Rouncil Lane, Honiley Road, Heath Terrace, Clattyland Lane, Brickyard Lane, Meer End Road, Kenilworth Road Gambles Island, Kenilworth Road, Birmingham Road, Clinton Lane, Castle Road, Borrowell Lane, Smalley Place, The Square, Warwick Road, St Johns and vice versa.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (ST LAURENCE AVENUE, WARWICK)  (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

Warwickshire County Council propose to make the above-named Order, pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20 mph speed limit on the entire lengths St Laurence Avenue, Warwick.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Main Reception, Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick during usual opening hours, or online at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20210/warwick-district.
