(Bridleway 34 (Snivellers Crossing) and Snivellers Lane, Kelvedon)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 34 (Snivellers Crossing) and Snivellers Lane, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree as below schedule.

Bridleway 34

From its junction with Bridleway 16 south to Snivellers Lane for approximately 485 metres.

Snivellers Lane

From its junction with Bridleway 34 to its junction with London Road for approximately 464 metres.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 15 January 2025 to 14 July 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction works take place. Subsequently, this crossing will be stopped up permanently.

The alternative route will be via: Bridleway 16, Crane’s Lane, London Road, Snivellers Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15 January 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Lane, Braintree)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Coldnailhurst Avenue to its junction with Church Meadows a distance of approximately 465m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 63 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001369537 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains reinforcement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Church Lane, Deanery Hill, Panfield Lane, High Garrett, The Street, Halls Lane, Pump Lane, Gosfield Street, Church Street, Walthams Cross, Winbush Farm Road, Daw Street, Mill Road, Little Lodge Lane, Blunts Hall Road, The Causeway, Duck End, Howe Street, Little London Hill, Church Hall End, Finchingfield Road, Chapel Street, Sturmer Road, Baythorne End, Ridgewell Road, Four Ash Hill, The Causeway, Chapel Road, Mill Road, Ridgewell Church Road, Church Street, Broad Road, Broad Road Roundabout, Broad Road, Convent Hill, Broad Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Guithavon Road, Witham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Guithavon Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Spinks Lane to its junction with Mill Lane a distance of approximately 310m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2371868 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while trial hole investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Highfields Road, Spinks Lane, Bridge Street, Newland Street, Mill Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Nounsley Road/Mowden Hall Lane, Hatfield Peverel)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nounsley Road/ Mowden Hall Lane, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bumfords Lane to its junction with Ulting Road a distance of approximately 1345m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2376767/EP201EH2376767A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce due to the ford being flooded, as works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via: Mowden Hall Lane, London Road, The Street, Maldon Road, Ulting Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 16th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Upper Howe Street, Finchingfield)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Upper Howe Street, Finchingfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 1000m north east of the junction with Little London Hill for a distance of approximately 55m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th February 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD0363030621 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Great Yeldham Road, Stambourne Road, Ridgewell Road, Church Road, High Street, Upper Street, Hedingham Road, Yeldham Road, Crouch Green, Yeldham Road, Swan Street, Rectory Road, Prayers Hill, Wethersfield Road, Almshouse Street, Finchingfield Road, Hedingham Road, Hudsons Hill, High Street, Silver Street, Meadside, Finchingfield Road, Wethersfield Road, Church Hill, The Causeway, Duck End, Howe Street and vice versa (with access only into Upper Howe Street, Finchingfield Road – Howe Street To Dyer’s End – ZC161, Robinhood End, Finchingfield Road and Dyers End).

The Order will come into effect on the 16th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) & (South Street, Braintree) (Temporary Suspension of Weight Restriction) (No.1) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads and in schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

3. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 Tonne weight restriction on that length of South Street, Braintree from its junction with Silks Way to its junction with Railway Street as detailed in "The Essex County Council (South Street, Braintree) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2010".

"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 16th January 2025, exact dates will be specified on One.network.

The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Blunts Hall Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 135m northwest of its junction with Stevens Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th January 2025 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013319204 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Blunts Hall Road, Dancing Dicks Lane, Witham Road, Terling Road, Powers Hall End, Chipping Hill, Braintree Road, Collingwood Road, Guithavon Valley, Mill Lane, Guithavon Road, Highfields Road, Blunts Hall Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
