What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

THE BARNET (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

As part of a variety of measures proposed in order to address vehicular conflicts, concerns about speeding and obstructions, and improve general road safety area, the general effect of the Orders would be to:

  1. Prohibit motorists from turning right into Exeter Road from Chase Side N14, between the hours of 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm.
  2. Prohibit motorists from turning right into Exeter Road from Brookside South N14, between the hours of 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm.
  3. Introduce lengths of ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions at the locations as follows:

    (a) Certain lengths of Exeter Road N14, both sides, near its junction with Chase Side.

A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plans of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 28 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR628–RSE050 to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to HighwaysCorrespondence@Barnet.gov.uk within 28 days of the date of this Notice.
