What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Chelney Walk Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Chelney Walk.

The Order would come into effect from on Tuesday 21st January 2025 to allow Severn Trent Water to repair broken access chamber to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 21st January 2025.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Chelney Walk.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Parking & Traffic Arrangements Poole Road, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Poole Road from its junction with Banks Road to its junction with Loudon Avenue to such an extent when prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 22 January 2025 and is required to enable water access chamber repair works on Poole Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 22 January 2025. 

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Poole Road. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Wakefield Close, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit pedestrians and all footpath users from entering or proceeding along the footpath on Wakefield Close from the rear of Number 2 when prescribed signs are displayed. 

The Order would come into operation at 07:00 hours on Wednesday, 22 January 2025, and is required to enable gas connection works on Wakefield Close to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is six (6) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 27 January 2025.

Alternative routes for pedestrian traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site. 

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

 (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Lymsey Street, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the entire length of Lymsey Street. 

The Order would come into effect at 00.001 hours on Saturday 18 January 2025 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to safely complete repair works to a broken chamber. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 19th January 2025.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Lymsey Street. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Public Right Of Way/ Footpath Closures Fp Warwick Road To Manor House Drive, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be a closure of the length of the footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).

The Order would come into operation at 00.01 hours on Monday 20th January 2025 and is required to allow for remedial reinstatement works to be safely carried out on the footpath.

The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 2nd February 2025.

The specific closures times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Any alternative route for pedestrians would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for: -
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency

(c) anyone in connection with the execution of the said works;

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Newbold Close, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Newbold Close for its full length.

The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Thursday 23rd January 2025 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to install a new water connection safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Saturday 25th January 2025.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Newbold Close Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Bartons Meadow to such an extent when prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 13 January 2025 and is required to enable water connection works on Bartons Meadow to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 22 January 2025.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site. 

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform; 

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Bartons Meadow.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Parking Arrangements Sherwood Jones Close, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading along Sherwood Jones Close for the entire length.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 13th January 2025 and is required to allow the safe movement and delivery of construction materials along the highway.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 17:00 hours on Monday 16th March 2025.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Burns Road, Coventry 

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Burns Road from its junction with Walsgrave Road to its junction with Tennyson Road.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 16th January 2025 and is required for facilitate Severn Trent Water repair works on the highway to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 17:00 hours on Wednesday 16th January 2025.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site. 

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

(d) local vehicular access to Burns Road Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Prior Deram Walk, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Prior Deram Walk from its junction with John Rous Avenue to its junction with Sheriff Avenue. 

The Order will come into effect on 00.01 hours on Monday 13th January 2025 and is required to allow Cadent Gas to replace the gas on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 17.00 hours on Friday 24th January 2025.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site. Exemptions will be provided for: 

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Prior Deram Walk Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Arrangements Wheelwright Lane, Coventry

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Wheelwright Lane.

The Order would come into effect from on 12 January 2025 to allow engineers to access existing telegraph pole(s) to provide fibre overhead cabling for a customer to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 12 January 2025.

Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Wheelwright Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
