APPLICATION FOR THE WATERBEACH TO CAMBRIDGE ORDER
NOTICE CALLING A MEETING OF THE COUNCIL TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR AN ORDER UNDER THE TRANSPORT AND WORKS ACT 1992

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 239 of the Local Government Act 1972, as applied to the above Order by Section 20 of the Transport and Works Act 1992, that a meeting of Cambridgeshire County Council (“the Council”) will be held at New Shire Hall, Alconbury Weald, PE28 4YE on Tuesday, 11 February 2025 at 10:30am, for the purpose, amongst other things, of approving (if thought fit) the making of an application to the Secretary of State for Transport for an Order made under the Transport and Works Act 1992 to authorise certain matters related to the proposed Waterbeach to Cambridge (“the WtoC Project”).

The Order (if made) would, amongst other things, confer powers on the Council to compulsorily acquire land, rights over land and to temporarily use land, vary byelaws, create summary offences, close public rights of way and divert public rights of way, all required to facilitate the WtoC Project.
