TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close Harwood Terrace from Pontefract Road to Lang Avenue, from 13 January 2025 for approximately one week.
Reason: Conduct trial holes.
An alternative route is available via: Pontefract Road/Lang Avenue.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
An order has been made to introduce the following traffic restrictions on the below roads, from 15th January 2025 for approximately 2 weeks.
Noblethorpe Lane, Silkstone – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from Pye Greave Farm to Cooper Lane.
Barnsley Road A628, Hoylandswaine – Temporary 40mph speed restriction from
Cooper Lane to Hoylandswaine roundabout.
Barnsley Road/Noblethorpe Lane, Hoylandswaine/Silkstone – Temporary weight restriction prohibiting vehicles over 7.5 tonne from travelling in an easterly direction between Hoylandswaine roundabout and Greave Farm. An alternative route is available via A629/A61.
Cooper Lane, Hoylandswaine – Temporary road closure from A628 to Green Lane. An alternative route is available via Barnsley Road A628, Barnsley Road C155, Haigh Lane, Cooper Lane.
Reason: Replacement of street lighting columns .

An order has been made to close the below roads, from 13th January 2025 for approximately 5 days.
Upperfield Lane/Bank End Lane, High Hoyland (Phase 1) – Temporary road closure from outside No.170 Upperfield Lane to Greystones. An alternative route is available via High Hoyland Lane, New Road, Bark House Lane, Lane Head Road, Tivy Dale, Taylor Hill, Darton Road, Cawthorne Lane.
Bank End Lane, High Hoyland (Phase 2) – Temporary road closure from Grey Stones to Winter Hill. An alternative route is available via Bank End Lane, High Street, Scott Hill, Long Lane, Wakefield Road, Litherop Lane, Church Lane.
Reason: Test rod and rope.
