Cumbria, Temporary Road Closures For Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5151 NEWBIGGIN, U5088 KIRKBY IN FURNESS AND C5083 BARBON (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road: U5151 Newbiggin

From a point approx 30m south east of its junction with New Close, extending in a

south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 30m; and From a point approx. 45m south west of its junction with Westmore Close, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 10m.

There is no suitable alternative route.

Duration: From 31st January 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/12991)

U5088 Kirkby-in-Furness, from a point approx.260m south east of its junction with the A595, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx.65m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U5088, A595 and U5089.

Duration: From 4th February 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/13057)

C5083 Barbon, from a point approx. 70m. north west of its junction with Beckgate, extending in a westerly direction for a distance of approx.200m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5083, U5390 and A683.

Duration: From 12th February 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/13067)

The Order will come into operation on 31st January 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
