Baxter Avenue (D1264) and Linkfield Street (D1265) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 08 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Baxter Avenue (D1264) Redhill which extends from its junction with Fairfax Avenue (D1264) to the eastern property boundary line of No.17 Baxter Avenue;
(b) prohibit the waiting at anytime by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway of Linkfield Street (D1265) Redhill which extends between the northern property boundary line of No.12 and the southern boundary of the un-named footpath leading to No.5 The Tannery; and
(c) prohibit the waiting at anytime by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway of Baxter Avenue (D1264) Redhill which extends from the eastern property boundary line of No.17 Baxter Avenue to the property boundary line of Nos. 35/41 Cromwell Walk and Nos. 39/33 Cromwell Walk.
Alternative Route – Baxter Avenue (D1264) and Fairfax Avenue (D1264).
This Order is required to allow Thames Water to carry out water works, which is anticipated to be carried out between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 January 2025, however the works are anticipated to be carried out between 22 January 2024 and 12 February 2025; and between 25 March 2025 and 28 March 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
For part (a) above: The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles, residents, Cyclists and Equestrians.
For part (b) and (c) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force.
(N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
C57 Norwood Hill, Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 03 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:
(a) C57 Norwood Hill Road Charlwood as extends from its junction with the access to the Telephone Exchange to its junction with the access to the property known as “Brittleware Farm”; and
(b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the District of Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (no.3) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Smalls Hill Road (C57), Tapners Road (C57), Bunce Common Road (C58), Newdigate Road (C59), Clayhill Road (C59), Broad Lane (C59), Partridge Lane (C60), Blanks Lane (C61), Stan Hill (C61) and Norwood Hill Road (C57).
This Order is required to enable Sunbelt Rentals to facilitate utility works and/or other associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
How Lane (D1080) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 03 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as it extends from its junction with Hollymead Road (D1079) to a point 40 metres south of this junction.
Alternative Route: Coulsdon Lane and Hollymead Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out gas main replacement works, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks, between 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Downland Way (D1025) Epsom Downs
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Downland Way (D1025) Epsom Downs as extends from the western border of the property known as “101 Downland Way” to the eastern border of the property known as “99 Downland Way”.
Alternative Route: Shawley Way and Tattenham Crescent.
This Order is required to enable ALS Civil to facilitate a new electrical connection and/or other associated works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 7 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Ranelagh Road (D1265) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ranelagh Road (D1265) Redhill as it extends from the southern border to the northern border of the property known as “17 Elm Road”.
Alternative Route: Hatchlands Road (A25), Shrewsbury Road, Whitepost Hill and Elm Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out underground service cable repair works, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Church Road (D362) Burstow
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D362) Burstow as extends from a point in line with the western boundary of the property known As “Brookwood” south-westwards for a distance of approximately 250 metres.
Alternative Route – Church Road; Broadbridge Lane; Redehall Road; Keepers Corner; Antlands Lane; and Church Road.
The Order is required to allow mains water connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SES Water within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over five days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 03 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the works area and all vehicles including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/ or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Cronks Hill (D1250) Reigate and Somerset Road (D1250) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in (a) that length of Cronks Hill (D1250) Reigate as extend from its junction with Cronks Hill Road (D1250) Reigate to its junction with High Trees Road (X24159) Reigate;
Alternative Route – Chart Lane; Chartfield Road; Lesbourne Road; A217 Bell Street/Cockshott Hill; A2044 Woodhatch Road; Pendleton Road ; and Somerset Road or this same route in reverse; and (b) that length of Somerset Road (D1250) Redhill as extend from its junction with Cronks Hill Road (D1250) Reigate to its junction with Copse Road (D1250) Reigate; Alternative Route – Cronks Hill Road; and Somerset Road.This Order, which will commence on 25 January 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highway improvement works and/or major highway maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in two phases, Phase 1 will consist of the closure detailed in part (a) to this Notice and Phase 2 will consist of the closures detailed in parts (b) of this Notice.
These closures are both expected to be 5 day closures. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only.
Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
Revel Drive (D2596) Fetcham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Revel Drive (D2596) Fetcham. There is no applicable alternative route.
The Order is required to allow telegraph pole replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over five days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 07 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
East Street (D2557) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of East Street (D2557) Bookham.
Alternative Route: Lower Road, Eastwick Road, and (A246) Leatherhead Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility/ maintenance works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Emlyn Road (D1271) and Ifold Road (D1271), Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Emlyn Road (D1271) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D1270) St Johns Road to its junction with (D1271) Althorne Road; and
(b) Ifold Road (D1271) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D1271) Emlyn Road and for a distance of 30 metres along Ifold Road.
Alternative Route: Althorne Road, Brambletye Park Road, St Johns Road, Hooley Lane, Redstone Road, and St Johns Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas disconnection works for, or on behalf of SGN.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Nork Way (D1004) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Nork Way (D1004) Banstead as extends from its junction with (X9330) Brambling Close to its junction with (D1054) Rowan Close.
Alternative Route: Nork Way, (A240) Reigate Road, and (A2022) Fir Tree Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of SES Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, 24 hours per day, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 February 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Redehall Road (C67) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Redehall Road (C67) Smallfield as extends from its junction with (D361) Wheelers Lane to its junction with (D821) Geary Close.
Alternative Route: Redehall Road, Weatherhill Road, Smallfield Road, (B2036) Balcombe Road, (B2037) Antlands Lane, and Redehall Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate S278 works for, or on behalf of Equus Construction. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
