The A38 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For maintenance works

The A38 Trunk Road (Hilliard’s Cross, Staffordshire) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an order on the A38 Trunk Road, at Hilliard’s Cross in the County of Staffordshire, to allow maintenance works to carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close –
(a) the link road leading from the northbound carriageway of the A38, to its junction with Wood End Lane, at Hilliard’s Cross; and
(b) the link road leading to the northbound carriageway of the A38, from its junction with Wood End Lane, at Hilliard’s Cross.
The closures will be carried out in phases over night between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and are expected to be carried out between Monday 13 January 2025 and Saturday 18 January 2025 and between Thursday 6 February 2025 and Saturday 8 February 2025.
The Order will come into force on 10 January 2025.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
Diversion routes via an alternative junction of the A38 will be signed.
