(A45 Coventry Road) (40 MPH Maximum Speed Limit) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025
What is happening?
The Council gives notice that it intends to make the above Order under Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991), being satisfied that all traffic should be restricted or prohibited to ensure that the following works can be undertaken in safety. The temporary 40 mph maximum speed restriction will be in place for 9 months from Wednesday 22 January 2025 at 08:00 until Thursday 30 October 2025 at 18:00.
M42 northbound free flow exit slip at Junction 6 — from the end of the motorway restrictions to its junction with the A45 Coventry Road main carriageway. A45 Coventry Road (westbound carriageway only) — from a point approximately 320m east of the centre line of the M42 to a point approximately 480m east of its junction with Old Damson Lane. Summerfield Road, Olton) (Road Closure) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025
The Council gives notice that it has made the above Order under Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991), being satisfied that all traffic should be restricted or prohibited to ensure that the following works can be undertaken in safety along Summerfield Road, Olton - from its junction with Castle Lane to its junction with Kimberley Road from 08:00 on Monday 13 January 2025 until 17:00 on Friday 24 January 2025. Reason for restriction: Excavate Safely for Utility Works. Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water. Diversion route: Kimberley Road and Castle Lane. Vice versa for the opposite direction. Access will be maintained through the site for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services responding to emergencies. Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of closure. The Council has made this modified Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Metropolitan Borough of Solihull) Order 2007, where applicable, and all other enabling powers. The reasons for this Order can be obtained by written request from the address below; or by inspecting the documents at Solihull Connect, Library Square, Touchwood, Solihull during normal opening hours or via https://www.solihull. gov.uk/Roads-pavements-and-streetcare// Traffic-regulation-orders A copy of the Order is available upon request. Anyone wishing to question the validity or provisions of the Order should apply to the High Court within six weeks from the date that the Order became effective. Tne Order, which comes into force on 17 January 2025, will introduce the new Total Prohibition of Waiting - No Waiting at Any Time restrictions along lengths of Arundel Crescent, Castle Lane, Dene Court Road and Knightsbridge Road.
