Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Blackbird Leys, Blackbird Leys Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 27 January 2025 Coming into force: 3 February 2025 This Order is being introduced because of reconfiguration of existing road layout including footpath and cycle path which are anticipated to be completed 11 April 2025. This is a 24 hour road closure.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Blackbird Leys Road in front of the shopping area - from outside Jakes Takeaways to junction of Knights Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Pegasus Road, Cuddesdon Way and vice versa or Knights Road, Blackbird Leys Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14930/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Bevington Road - Temporary Parking Suspension Date of Order: 13 January 2025 Comes into force: 20 January 2025 An Order was introduced 14.8.23 because of dwelling refurbishment work and to enable delivery vehicles and plant to be offloaded without causing obstruction to the normal flow of traffic. The work was anticipated to be completed in April 2025 but is now extended by a further order until December 2025. This is a 24-hour prohibition of waiting.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily suspend 5 two-hour parking places (8am to 6.30pm) spread along the south side of Bevington Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exceptions are included for emergency service vehicles and for the purpose of the works. The County Council is satisfied that it is necessary for the order to remain in place until the works have been completed. The relevant parts of The Oxfordshire County Council (Central Area, Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2011 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended. (Ref: T12375/AC)
