(ROWLANDS ROAD, SUMMERSEAT & TANNERS STREET, RAMSBOTTOM)
TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:
- Rowlands Road, Summerseat – between Crag Avenue & Wood Road Lane
- Tanners Street, Ramsbottom – between Rawsons Rake (The Rake) & Carr Street
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate manhole & gully cleaning works.
The alternative routes will be:
- Via Waterside Road, Kay Street, Hill Street, Pollards Lane, Cliff Avenue & Crag Lane & vice-versa
- Via Carr Street, Bolton Street & Dundee Lane & vice-versa
The Order will come into operation on Monday 13 January 2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months, although the anticipated duration of the Rowlands Road closure is 5 days (commencing 13/01/25) and the Tanners Street closure is 3 days (commencing 03/03/25).
