(U53111 Angel Street, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of U53111 Angel Street from its junction with A38 The Foregate to its junction with U53109 Angel Place.

Reason: Remedial water utility works by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A38 Foregate Street, A449 Castle Street, A449 Croft Road, A44 Dolday, B4205 The Butts, U53109 Angel Place and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 2 February 2025.

(C2027 Old Malvern Road, Powick) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2027 Old Malvern Road from its junction with U62018 Powyke Court Close to its junction with C2027 Colletts Green Road.

Reason: Pole testing works by Openreach.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2027 Old Malvern Road (part), A449 Malvern Road, A449 The Village, A4440 Hams Way, A4440 Grove way, A4103 Bransford, C2027 Station Road, C2027 Colletts Green Road, C2027 Old Malvern Road (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 31 January 2025.

(C2078 Broughton Hackett to Crowle, Broughton Hackett) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of Broughton Hackett to Crowle from its junction with A422 Broughton Hackett to Upton Snodsbury to its junction with U43019 Manor Court.

Reason: Tree maintenance by Acer Tree Services.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A422 Broughton Hackett to Upton Snodsbury. U43006 Kitts Lane, C2078 Broughton Hackett to Crowle (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 4 February 2025.

(U47607 Church Lane, Whittington) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of U47607 Church Lane from its junction with U47606 Walkers Lane for a distance of 250 metres in a south westerly direction.

Reason: Installation of a dropped kerb for new vehicle crossing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Anti-clockwise Diversion: U47606 Walkers Lane, A4440 Swinesherd Way, A4440 Whittington Road, U47607 Church Lane (part).

Clockwise Diversion: U47607 Church Lane (part), A440 Whittington Road, A4440 Swinesherd Way (Northbound), A4440 Nunnery Way, A4440 Swinesherd Way (Southbound), U47606 Walkers Lane and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 3 February 2025.

(B4550 Astwood Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close that part of B4550 Astwood Road from its junction with U51024 Mayfield Road to its junction with U51026 Vauxhall Street.

Reason: Remedial water repairs by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Order made: To close that part of C2055 Church Lane from its junction with U47611 Hatfield Lane for a distance of 250 metres in a north westerly direction.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2055 Church Lane (part), C2201 Wadborough Road, C2108 Wadborough Road, C2108 Hatfield Bank, C2108 Broomhall, C2055 Crookbarrow Road, C2055 Church Lane (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 10 days. Commencing: 13 January 2025.

(U54158 Watery Lane, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of U54158 Watery Lane from its junction with B4485 Bransford Road to its junction with A44 Bromyard Road.

Reason: New customer connection by National Grid. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: B4485 Bransford Road, B4206 St Johns, A44 Bromyard Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 10 days (24hrs). Commencing: 13 January 2025.

(C2070 Suckley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of C2070 Suckley from its junction with U62214 Church Lane to its junction with C2064 Malvern Hills Boundary to Longley Green.

Reason: Safe working underground for fibre cabling works by Openreach

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2064 Malvern Hill Boundary to Longley Green, C2064 Longley Green, C2064 Longley Green to Stocks Lane, Alfrick, C2064 Alfrick Pound, C2233 Alfrick, C2244 Workhouse Bank, C2244 Crews Hill, C2244 Suckley, C2070 Suckley (part) and vice versa.

(U53116 Mealcheapen Street, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of U53116 Mealcheapen Street from its junction with U53113 The Shambles to its junction with U53115 Corn Market.

Reason: Replacement electricity cable by National Grid Electricity Distribution.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken. Alternative route: No alternative route as pedestrian walkway/ delivery access only.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days (24hrs). Commencing: 13 January 2025.

(C2068 Moseley Road, Hallow) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of C2068 Moseley Road from its junction with C2069 Worlds End to its junction with A443 Main Road.

Reason: Installation and repair work to kerbs by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A443 Main Road, C2256 Dark Lane, C2256 Sinton Green, C2069 Sinton Green, C2069 Worlds End and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 13 January 2025.

(C2103 Upper Woodsfield, Madresfield) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Order made: To close that part of C2103 Upper Woodsfield from its junction with U62002 Hawthorne Lane to its junction with C2102 Newland.

Reason: New water connection by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2103 Upper Woodsfield (part), C2102 Newland, A449 Worcester Road, U62002 Hawthorne Lane, C2103 Upper Woodsfield (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days (24hrs). Commencing: 16 January 2025.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (Malvern Hills District) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2013 (Variation) Order 2025 [Prohibition of Waiting on B4196 Shrawley]

On 9 January 2025 Worcestershire County Council made an Order giving permanent effect to an Experimental order made on 8 February 2024 which will impose prohibition waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Shrawley: B4196 Shrawley - (west side) from its junction with New Inn Lane for a distance of 116m in a northerly direction and 68m in a southerly direction.

B4196 Shrawley - (east side) from its junction with the lane to Noutards Green for a distance of 111m in a northerly direction and 85m in a southerly direction.

New Inn Lane (south side) - from its junction with B4196 for a distance of 7m in a westerly direction.

The Order will come into operation on 16 January 2025. (Footpaths WR-891 & WR-504, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

Proposed Order: To close Footpath WR-891 (part) from grid ref. 387810 254514 to grid ref. 387788, 254671 and WR-504 for its entire length.

The Order has been made to facilitate the widening and resurfacing of bridleway with a metalled surface. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken. Alternative route: Link Footpath F50218 then B4636 Newtown Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months commencing on 3 February 2025.
