ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(as Amended) – SECTION 14(1)

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS

(B5201 BURROWS LANE, ECCLESTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the St. Helens Borough Council propose not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in either direction along B5201 Burrows Lane between B5203 Gillars Lane and Mere View Farm, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.

The Order will come into force on Monday 27th January, 2025, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to be three weeks. The alternative route will be via B5201 Church Road, B5201 Chapel Lane, B5201 Millbrook Lane, B5201 Bleak Hill Road, A570 Rainford Road, A570 Greenfield Road, A570 Dentons Green Lane, A570 Boundary Road, A570 Kirkland Street, A58 Westfield Street, A58 Prescot Road, A58 St Helens Road and vice versa.

The reason for making this Order is to facilitate the installation of a new water valve.
