What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Belchamp Road, Pentlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Belchamp Road, Pentlow in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 560m east of the junction with Bower Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 270m in a north easterly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th February 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFRK047X – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Belchamp Road, Church Street, Shearing Place Road, Hickford Hill, Ashen Road, Nethergate Street, Well Lane, Market Hill, Cavendish Road, Clare Road, Stour Street, Poole Street, The Green, High Street, Lower Street, Pentlow Lane, Belchamp Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Lamarsh Road, Alphamstone) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025                                                              Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:        1. To temporarily close that length of Lamarsh Road, Alphamstone in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Moat Lane for a distance of approximately 785m in a south easterly, north easterly then easterly direction. 2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only. “The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time” restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2351497A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Lamarsh Road, Alphamstone Road, Henny Road, Bures Road, Bell Hill, Springett’s Hill, Lamarsh Hill, Colne Road, Hornes Green Road, Peyton Hall Road, Bures Road, Pebmarsh Road, Upper Green, Lower Green and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 16th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Pentlow Hill/Pentlow Street, Pentlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025                                                                                                                      Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pentlow Hill/ Pentlow Street, Pentlow in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 670m north west of the junction with Foxearth Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st January 2025 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2352160 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Pentlow Lane, Melford Road, Lower Road, Clare Road, Windmill Hill, Westgate Street, High Street, Hall Street, Little St Marys, Southgate Street, Station Road, Rodbridge Hill, Borley Road, Halstead Road, School Street, The Street, Halstead Road, School Street, Halstead Road, Pentlow Hill and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 2nd January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
