What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(HILDERTHORPE ROAD, BRIDLINGTON
(PART)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along part of Hilderthorpe Road,
Bridlington between the junctions of Cardigan Road
and Savage Road from 14 January 2025 at 21.00
hours until 02.00 hours on 15 January 2025.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
access to water chambers, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed by 02.00 hours on 15 January
2025. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the Order is via Station Road, Station Avenue, Quay
Road Roundabout, Quay Road, Springfield Avenue,
Hilderthorpe Road and vice versa. The road will be
open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access
to properties directly affected by the closure and for
emergency services. The Order will commence
14 January 2025 and continue in force for a period
not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever
is the earlier. Further information can be obtained from
