NOTICE OF FURTHER EXTENSION OF ORDER
SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL(PUBLIC BYWAYS BA12/34 & BA13/20, PIPEHOUSE LANE, FRESHFORD & HINTON CHARTERHOUSE)TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
Notice is given that the order made by Bath and North East Somerset Council on 21st December 2023 will be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order will continue in force until the works to which it relates have been completed or until 31 December 2025, whichever is the earlier.
The effect of which will be to continue to close the sections of public byways BA12/34 & BA13/20 commencing from Midford Road at ST76326064 and proceeding in a generally SE direction for approx 1519m to a junction with public footpath BA13/14 and Pipehouse Lane at ST77445991.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way; namely, Bath and North East Somerset Council are proposing to execute works on or near the said byways to repair their damaged surfaces and render them once again safe for passage.
