Essex County Council

(Hall Lane, Mountnessing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Lane, Mountnessing in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 95m north east of its junction with Padhams Green Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th January 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ903NL8344 – Cadent). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while upgrade and maintenance works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Hall Lane, Station Lane, Roman Road, Mountnessing – Ingatestone Link Road, Mountnessing – Ingatestone Link Road, Roman Road, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Hutton Road, Shenfield & Rayleigh Road, Hutton)

(Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in that length of Hutton Road, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 35m of its junction with Crossways for a distance of approximately 40m in a northwesterly direction and also on Rayleigh Road, Hutton, in the Borough of Brentwood from its junction with Mount Avenue to Alexander Lane Roundabout a distance of approximately 145m.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. 

All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 25th January 2025. 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while rail replacement bus services are in operation by Transport For London Street Management.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Kimpton Avenue, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kimpton Avenue, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Warescot Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th January 2025 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (NK102LCIN00087A – Virgin Media). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by Virgin Media.

An alternative route is available via Warescot Road, Ongar Road, Doddinghurst Road, Kimpton Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Marsh Lane, Mountnessing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Marsh Lane, Mountnessing in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Old Church Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly and north westerly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th January 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2379586 – Essex County Council). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Old Church Road, Church Road, Marsh Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Lancaster Close, Pilgrims Hatch) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lancaster Close, Pilgrims Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 30m north west of its junction with Gloucester Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a north westerly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30081323252 – UK Power Networks).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Mill Lane & Mill Green Road, Fryerning) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Fryerning in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Mill Green Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a south easterly direction.

2. To temporarily close that length of Mill Green Road, Fryerning in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Mill Lane to its other junction with Mill Lane a distance of approximately 25m.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013307060 & EN013307060A – Essex And Suffolk Water). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

Alternative routes are available via:
1. Mill Lane, Back Lane, Mill Green Road and vice versa.

2. Mill Green Road, Blackmore Road, Fryerning Lane, High Street, Main Road, Wantz Road, Writtle Road, Ivy Barn Lane and vice versa. 

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Mountnessing Lane, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mountnessing Lane, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 220m north east of its junction with Brook Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th February 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410253785 – Affinity Water). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Mountnessing Lane, Pettits Lane, Wyatts Green Road, Church Lane, Doddinghurst Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Murthering Lane, Navestock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Murthering Lane, Navestock in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 90m north east of its junction with Curtis Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd February 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410254267 – Affinity Water). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while correlation point works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Murthering Lane, Tysea Hill, Horseman Side, Tan House Lane, Sabines Road, Bounce Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 


(Nags Head Lane, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Nags Head Lane, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 475m south west of its junction with Brook Street for a distance of approximately 90m in a south westerly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013324789A – Essex And Suffolk Water). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Nags Head Lane, Brook Street, Mascalls Lane, Warley Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Northend, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Northend, Brentwood in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 35m south east of its junction with Queen Street to its end a distance of approximately 140m.

2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only. “The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. 

All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 27th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377435 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


(Oliver Road, Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oliver Road, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with St Marys Avenue for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction. 

The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013324477A- Essex And Suffolk Water). 

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. 

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new
connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road, Alexander Lane, Oliver Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

(Various Roads, Borough of Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.1) Order 2025 

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the said length of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. 

Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only.
