What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders: 

Birmingham Road, Ansley

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable installation of pipework.

Order Commences: 11 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 19 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Birmingham Road, Ansley Road, Arbury Road, Croft Road, Queens Road, Jubilee Way, Corporation Street, Central Avenue, Abbey Green, Midland Road, Tuttle Hill, Camp Hill Road, Coleshill Road, Ansley Common, West View and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.


Church Road, Nuneaton

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works on sunken manhole cover.

Order Commences: 15 January 2025 08:00 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 15 January 2025 17:00

Access & Diversion: Church Road, Arbury Road, Westbury Road, St Pauls Road and vice versa.

Queen Elizabeth Road, Nuneaton

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works on sunken manhole.

Order Commences: 15 January 2025 07:00 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 15 January 2025 16:00.

Access & Diversion: Queen Elizabeth Road, Tuttle Hill, Camp Hill Road, Bucks Hill and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

D992 Apple Pie Lane, Hartshill, Nuneaton

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Grange Road and Atherstone Road. In addition, the 7.5tl weight restriction on Atherstone Road & Castle Road, Nuneaton will be temporarily suspended.

Reason for Order: Drainage works, 08.00hrs-14.00hrs.

Order Commences: 27 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 29 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Grange Road, The Green, Atherstone Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.


Fair Isle Drive, Nuneaton

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works for repair/replacement of defective manhole frame and covers.

Order Commences: 27 January 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 27 January 2025.

Access & Diversion: Oldany Way, The Raywoods, Brodick Way and vice versa.

Public Footpath B34 Nuneaton & Bedworth

Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic between Grid Reference X436256 Y285667 and Grid Reference X436485 Y285223.

Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public because works are being carried out on or near to the path.

Order Commences: 25 January 2025 for up to 6 months.

Access & Diversion: Please find an alternative route.

Public Footpath B54 Nuneaton & Bedworth

Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic between Grid Reference X436485 Y285223 and X436093 Y285276.

Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public because of works being carried out on or near to the footpath.

Order Commences: 25 January 2025 for up to 6 months.

Access & Diversion: Please find an alternative route.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. 

Vehicular access  will be maintained where possible.
