Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-

The effect of the made Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (DYL means double yellow lines “no waiting at any time”) on the following length of roads:-

Roads in Hamstreet in the Borough of Ashford

ASHFORD ROAD – DYL – (1) On the south-west side from the northern kerbline of the entrance to Hamstreet Primary Academy for a distance of 31 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the north-east side opposite the northern kerbline entrance of Hamstreet Primary Academy for a distance of 28 metres in a northerly direction. (3) On the southern kerbline on both sides of the entrance to Hamstreet Primary academy to join Ashford Road for a distance of 5 metres. (4) On the east side from its junction with Brimstone Road for a distance of 35 metres in a southerly direction. (5) On the south-west side place School Keep Clear markings Mon-Fri 8am-5pm from opposite the southern kerbline of Brimstone Road for a distance of 36 metres in a southerly direction. (6) On the north-east side place no waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm single yellow lines from its junction with St Mary’s Close for a distance of 14 metres in a northerly direction. (7) On the north-west side from a point opposite 15 metres north of its junction with St Marys Close for a distance of 45 metres in a southerly direction place no waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. (8) On the southern kerbline of the entrance to Ham Street Station for a distance of 8 metres in an easterly direction place no waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. (9) {n both sides place a puffin crossing from the southern kerbline with Brimstone Road to the entrance to Hamstreet Primary Academy. BRIMSTONE ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north-west side from its junction with Ashford Road to its junction with Unnamed Road for a distance of 58 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On the north-west side from its junction with Unnamed Road for a distance of 35 metres in an easterly direction. (3) On the south-east side from its junction with Ashford Road for a distance of 99 metres in an easterly direction. ST MARY’S CLOSE – SYL – On both sides of its junction with Ashford Road for a distance of 8 metres in an easterly direction place no waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6pm. UNNAMED ROAD – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Brimstone Road for its entire length.

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023
(AMENDMENT No.9 ORDER 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to implement a 30MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in Harbledown, Canterbury:

CHARTHAM HATCH ROAD – From its junction with Faulkners Lane and Church Hill for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction. CHURCH HILL - From its junction with Chartham Hatch Road for a distance of 229 metres in an easterly direction. FAULKNERS LANE – From its junction with Chartham Hatch Road for a distance of 117 metres in a westerly direction.

The Order was made on 9 January 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 January 2025.

(VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2020 (AMENDMENT No.31) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-

The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce various waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time on the following roads:-

Roads in Dartford in the Borough of Dartford

BRUNEL WAY – (1) Remove the single yellow lines for its entire length. (2) Place DYLs around both central islands. BOW ARROW LANE – DYL- (1) On the south side extend the existing lines from the junction with The Oaks for a distance of 8.5 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the south side from the entrance junction to Green Acres to a point 26.5 metres west joining up with the existing lines and to a point 10 metres east. BULLS HEAD YARD – Place a no waiting at any time zone outside number 6. COPPERFIELDS – Place a no waiting at any time zone for its entire length. LAWRENCE HILL GARDENS – DYL – On both sides of the junction with Lawrence Hill Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. LAWRENCE HILL ROAD – DYL – On the west side to a point 10 metres south and 10 metres north from the junction with Lawrence Hill Gardens. RENNIE DRIVE – Place a no waiting at any time zone from a point 10 metres from the Rennie Drive and Halcrow roundabout to the extremity of the highway. STANHOPE ROAD – (1) On the east side remove the disable persons disable bay outside number 37. (2) On the east side place a disabled persons parking bay opposite 56/58. THE OAKS – DYL – On both sides of the junction with Bow Green Lane extend the existing lines by 10 metres in a southerly direction.

NOTICE is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), to upgrade the existing crossing point as described in column 1 of Schedule 1 hereto, at the location as described in column 2 of the said Schedule.

=NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order would amend all of the traffic signs that have been related to the new road layout with a no entry and no u turns along with a prohibit to all vehicles over 6ft 6ins except for access on the following length of roads in Stockbury, Maidstone:-

CHURCH HILL – Place a no entry restriction with no u turns at the junction with A249 Sittingbourne Road. OAD STREET – Place a width restriction except for access along the new road section from the junction with the Sittingbourne Road to its junction with South Green. SITTINGBOURNE ROAD & STOCKBURY ROUNDABOUT – To remove and replace banned turned and no entry signs due to new road layout.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of road in Bredhurst, Maidstone:-

FIR TREE GROVE – DYL – (1) On its north side from its junction with Hurtswood Road for a distance of 21 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On the south side from its junction with Hurtswood Road for a distance of 20 metres in a south westerly direction. HURTSWOOD ROAD – DYL – (1) On the south west side from its junction with Fir Tree Grove to a point 20 metres south and to meet up with the existing lines in a north westerly direction.

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of road in Penenden Heath, Maidstone:-

ERITH CLOSE – DYL – Both sides of its junction with Woodcut and Becksbourne Close for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction. WOODCUT – DYL – (1) On the south west side from its junction with Erith Close for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On its north side from its junction with Becksbourne Close for a distance of 21 metres in a westerly direction. BECKSBOURNE CLOSE – DYL – (1) On west side from its junction with Woodcut for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the east side from a point 3 metres north of the rear boundary of 18 Barnhurst Road for a distance of 41 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the south side from its junction with Erith Close for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order.

The effect of the order would be to reduce the national speed limit on the following lengths of road in Dunkirk, Swale:-

LONDON ROAD (CANTERBURY ROAD) (1) From existing 30MPH limit place a 40mph limit from the western boundary of 33 Woodside for a distance of 684 meters in an easterly direction. (2) From a point 70 meters east from eastern boundary of Prospect Cottage place a 40mph limit for a distance of 828 meters in an easterly direction. (3) Extend the current 30mph from a point 13 meters east of the eastern boundary of Prospect Cottage to point 34 metres south on the A2 slip road.

The Order was made on 9 January 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 January 2025.

STAPLESTREET ROAD – From its junction with Staple Street for a distance of 421 metres in a south easterly direction.

The effect of the order would be to reduce the current speed limit to 30MPH on the following lengths of roads in Hernehill, Swale:-

CHURCH HILL – From southern property boundary of St Michaels Church for a distance of 720 metres in a northerly direction. CROCKHAM LANE – From its junction with Church Hill for a distance of 200 metres in a south easterly direction. KAYS LANE – From its junction with Church Hill for a distance of 200 metres in a north westerly direction.

The Order was made on 9 January 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 10 January 2025.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) and the Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order would be to allow Buses, cycles and Taxis only during prescribed hours 9am till 6pm on the following length of roads in Tunbridge Wells:-

GROSVENOR ROAD – From its junction with Newtown Road to its junction with Goods Station Road in both directions. MONSON ROAD – From its junction with Monson Way to its junction with Mount Pleasant Road in both directions. MOUNT PLESANT ROAD – From its junction with Crescent Road to its junction with Monson Road in both directions.

ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that the KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Section 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1) and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the above listed Order.

The effect of the made named Order will be to consolidate all Traffic Movement restrictions in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells and to present the location of the existing restrictions in a new map schedule and to specify each type of restriction so presented in a map schedule legend.

The Order was made on 9 January 2025 and the provisions of the Order will come into effect on 10 January 2025.
