Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No. 2) 2025
On 08 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) High Thicket Road (D120) Dockenfield which extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Chase” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Abbotts Corner” and; (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council High Thicket Road (D120) Dockenfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.
Alternative Route – High Thicket Road (D120), The Street (C26), Old Lane (D120) and High Thicket Road (D120).
This Order is required to allow South East Water to carry out new water connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 4:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times when it’s safe. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 93 (Thursley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to damage to the bridge. The Order came into operation on 08 July 2024. It was due to expire on 08 January 2025 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 08 February 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 93 (Thursley) from Grid ref: 490911 137769 to Grid ref: 490912 137809.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from Grid ref: 490911 137769 will be to head North West for 54 metres, then North for 17 Metres to join Public Footpath 105a (Thursley).
The alternative route for traffic from Grid ref: 490912 137809 will be to head North West for 31 Metres along Public Footpath 105a (Thursley) then head South for 17 Metres, then head South East for 54 Metres to Grid ref: 490911 137769.
