Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
Bull Hill, Lenham Heath, ME17 2BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bull Hill, Lenham Heath, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fir View. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bull Hill, Lenham Heath Road, Lenham Forstal Road, Forstal Road and vice versa.
Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, ME17 3JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Rose Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chartway Street, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street and vice versa.
Gore Court Road, Otham, ME15 8QB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gore Court Road, Otham, on or after 13th January 2025 for up to 57 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Whitehorse Lane and Pentecost Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gore Court Road, A274 Sutton Road, Willington Street, Deringwood Drive, Church Road and vice versa.
Grigg Lane, Headcorn, TN27 9LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Grigg Lane, Headcorn, on or after 16th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Football Pitch, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Baker Lane, Lenham Road, Forge Lane, Oak Lane, Grigg Lane and vice versa.
Sandling Lane, Penenden Heath, ME14 2EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & BUS LAY-BY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new cabinet installation to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandling Lane, Penenden Heath, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 92 and 94. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The Bus lay-by will be closed for the entirety. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Lane, Boxley Road, B2012 Lower Boxley Road, B2012 Staceys Street, A229 Royal Engineers Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, Sandling Lane and vice versa.
Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe, ME17 1HA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe, on or after 27th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Jubilee Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tilden Road, Ulcombe Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, East Sutton Road, Stickfast Lane and vice versa
Stockett Lane, Tovil, ME15 6AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockett Lane, Tovil, on or after 14th January 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Cave Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockett Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, Straw Mill Hill and vice versa.
The Street & Ulcombe Hill, Ulcombe, ME17 1GB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street & Ulcombe Hill, Ulcombe, on or after 30th January 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from The Gables and Willowdene, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ulcombe Hill, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Road, Crumps Lane, Headcorn Road, The Street and vice versa.
Vanity Lane, Linton, ME17 4NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vanity Lane, Linton, on or after 16th January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Southwards, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vanity Lane, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, Wheelers Lane, Vanity Lane and vice versa.
