What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction)

(The Avenue, Newton Abbot)
Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 3/2/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 14/2/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: The Avenue, Newton Abbot, (From The Junction Of Queen Street To By The Pedestrian Crossing )

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Queen Street, Station Road, Torquay Road, East Street, Newfoundland Way, Wolborough Street, Wolborough Way, Bradley Lane, Halcyon Road, Kingsteignton Road, The Avenue.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: RC required for gas mains replacement works.

Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 10/2/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 7/3/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Oak Place, Newton Abbot

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Oak Place - Queen Street, Courtenay Park, Devon Square, St Pauls Road, Oak Place And/ Or Oak Place, Queen Street, Devon Square, Oak Place.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: replace old metallic gas mains with new plastic mains & renew/transfer service pipes to adjacent premises. Oak place closed from Junction 102 Queen Street to Junction 128 Queen Street, access will be maintained.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 3/2/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 21/2/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Ashburton Road, Bovey Tracey

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Ashburton Road, Newton Road, Pottery Road, Ashburton Road & Vice Versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: gas mains replacement works.
