What is happening?

BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL

SEAFIELD ROAD AND ASSOC. ROADS, BOURNEMOUTH - ELECTRICAL WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHERE & WHAT:

  • Seafield Road, from its junction with Cranleigh Road to the junction with Iford Lane - phased closures, anticipated dates from 6th January 2025 up to and including 7th February 2025.
  • Castlemain Avenue, from its junction with Southbourne Road to the junction with Paisley Road - phased closures, anticipated dates from 24th February 2025 up to and including 11th April 2025
  • Cranleigh Road, from its junction with Watcombe Road to the junction with Seafield Road - anticipated dates 24th May 2025 up to and including 1st June 2025

WHY: To facilitate electrical works by SSE

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State. The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
