What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C606 JARMANS LANE AND MILDENHALL ROAD, WEST ROW
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
- C606 Jarmans Lane, West Row
- C606 Mildenhall Road, West Row
This is to facilitate pre surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Pott Hall Road, Bargate Road, Eldo Road, Church Road, Friday Street, Chapel Road, Beeches Road, West Row and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/01/2025 - 17/01/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WEIGHTING AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF VARIOUS ROADS, IPSWICH, SPROUGHTON AND BRAMFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order for the prohibition of waiting on the:
- B1458 Cliff Road, Ipswich from the dock gates to the junction with Toller Road
- U2009 Toller Road, Ipswich
- B1113 High Street, Sproughton
- B1113 Bramford Road, Sproughton
- B1113 Lorraine Way, Bramford from Bramford Road to Bullen Lane
This is to facilitate the movement of an abnormal load. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists when safe passage allows.
For the duration of this measure there will also be a Suspension of the 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction on the:
- B1113 High Street, Sproughton
- B1113 Bramford Road, Sproughton from High Street for 15 metres northbound
- C26 Landseer Road, Ipswich from Sandyhill Lane to Nacton Road
- C320 Nacton Road, Ipswich from Landseer Road to Ransomes Way roundabout
It is intended that these measures will operate from:
- Parking Restrictions: 04/01/2025 - 05/01/2025
- Suspension of Weight Restriction: 05/01/2025 from 12.01am - 11.59pm.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF MID SUFFOLK) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF BRAMFORD) (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (VARIATION NO.27) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order
under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, to incorporate revision 0 of Map Tiles GD114, GD115, GD116, GE114, and GE116; and substitute revision 1 of Map Tiles GE115 and GF114 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tiles; and substitute revision 2 of Map Tile GF115 in place of revision 1 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2019 order.
The effect of this would be to introduce:
‘No waiting at any time’ on:
Stoddart Road (U4425), Bramford:
- On both sides from the centre of its junction with The Street, in a north-east direction for 18 metres.
The Street (B1067), Bramford:
- On its north-east side from the centre of its junction with Stoddart Road in a north-west direction for 45 metres and in a south-east direction for 45 metres.
- On its north-east side from the centre of its junction with Acton Road in a north-west direction for 39 metres and in a south-east direction for 37 metres.
- On its north-east side from the centre of its junction with Walnut Tree Close in a north-west direction for 17 metres and in a south-east direction for 20 metres.
Acton Road (U4425), Bramford:
- On both sides from the centre of its junction with The Street, in a north-east direction for 20 metres.
- On its south side from the centre of its junction with Acton Close in a west direction for 36 metres.
Acton Close (U4425), Bramford:
- On its south-west side from the centre of its junction with Acton Road in a south-east direction for 12 metres.
Walnut Tree Close (ZU4425), Bramford:
- On both sides from the centre of its junction with The Street in a north-east direction for 10 metres.
Leggatt Drive (ZU4425), Bramford:
- On both sides from a point 6 metres east from the centre of its junction with The Street in an east direction for 20 metres.
Loraine Way (B1113), Bramford:
- On its east side from the centre of its junction with Fitzgerald Road in a north direction for 320 metres.
Fitzgerald Road (ZU4424), Bramford:
- On both sides from the centre of its junction with Loraine Way in an east direction on the north side for a distance of 25 metres and on the south side for a distance of 335 metres.
- On its north side from the boundary of property nos. 26/28 in an east/north-east direction for a distance of 53 metres.
Mill Lane (ZU4425), Bramford:
- On both sides from the centre of its junction with Ship Lane in a north direction for 19 metres.
Ship Lane (B1067), Bramford:
- On its north side from the centre of its junction with Mill Lane in a west direction for a distance of 25 metres and in an east direction for a distance of 17 metres.
Paper Mill Lane (C461), Bramford:
- On its east side from the boundary of property nos. 52/54 in a south direction for a distance of 27 metres.
- On both sides from the centre of its junction with Bramford Road in a north direction for a distance of 31 metres on the east side and 64 metres on the west side.
- On its east side from the centre of its junction with Whitton Leyer in a north direction for a distance of 36 metres.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload; for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.

- Saturday 10am - 5pm
- Sunday 10am - 3pm
