PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(DARLINGTON STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Darlington Street closed in both directions between its junctions with Ring Road/Chapel Ash Island and Waterloo Road/School Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road, Waterloo Road and vice versa.
· Darlington Street Cycle Lane closed between the junctions of Ring Road/Chapel Ash Island and Red Lion Street. Cyclists to dismount and use footway.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 6 January 2025 until 4 July 2025.
The Order is required to facilitate City Centre Public Realm Improvements.
