NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under the powers conferred by sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) convert sections of existing parking places in lengths of road generally fronting the locations referred to in the Schedule to this notice, to single yellow line waiting restrictions matching the operational times of the controlled parking zone operating at each of those locations;
(b) introduce a length of permit holder parking place outside No. 39 Albert Road, Mitcham, following the removal of a redundant crossover.
A copy of each of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans which indicate the roads or lengths of roads to which the Orders relate, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.
Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/CROSSOVER33 no later than 24 January 2025.

(CHARLES ROAD AND RUTLISH ROAD, WIMBLEDON)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, further to the notice published on 28th November 2024 in relation to Rutlish Road and Charles Road, that to facilitate redevelopment works adjacent to Rutlish Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in additional lengths of Charles Road and Rutlish Road.
During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:-
(a) Charles Road, both sides, from a point 18 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Rutlish Road north-eastward for a distance of 20 metres; and
(b) Rutlish Road, the south-west side, from the common boundary of Nos. 27 and 28 Rutlish Road to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 4 Rutlish Road.
Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended.
The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Nothing in the Order will apply: -
(a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community
(b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
The Order will come into operation on Monday 6th January 2025 and it is anticipated the restrictions will be in place until 20th September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 12 months should the restrictions be further required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTIONS 14(1) and 14(7)

(BEULAH ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate railway track works from Dundonald Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic and suspend the one-way working in Beulah Road.
During the works:-
(a) no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Beulah Road; and
(b) the one-way working in Beulah Road will be suspended.
The restrictions and suspension will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
Any designated parking place situated in Beulah Road will be suspended for the duration of the said works.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Nothing in paragraph 2(a) above will apply to:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
- The Order will come into operation on Monday 6th January 2025 with the works anticipated to take place between the hours of 10pm and 4am the following day, until 9th January 2025. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of three months and its provisions will be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.
