What is happening?
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES FOR SBC HIGHWAY WORKS
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make the following orders from the 1 February 2024 for 18 months. This will allow for change of dates due to weather conditions or changes to programme as follow:
(STR000888 Shrivenham Road)
B4000 Shrivenham Road between the junction with Fresden Lane and the B4508 Watchfield Road. Traffic to be diverted via A361 Highworth Road to Rat Trap Roundabout, B4006 Highworth Road, Swindon Road to Greenbridge Roundabout, A4312 Oxford Road to White Hart Roundabout, A420 to Shrivenham and vice versa. Works expected to take place during day time hours on the 12 February 2025.
(STR001005 Castle Eaton)
The Street, Castle Eaton, at the bridge. Traffic to be diverted via Nell Hill and Hannington Lane (Hannington), High Street (Kempsford), Mount Pleasant and vice versa. Works expected to take place during day time hours on the 12 February 2025.
(STR001002 Blagrove Roundabout)
Blagrove Roundabout including the access/exit arms on Whitehill Way and Great Western Way. Works to be phased. Traffic to be diverted via Whitehill Way, Tewkesbury Way and Great Western Way or Ramsden Road, Frankland Road and Great Western Way. Works expected to take place overnight between the 14 to 28 February 2025.
(STR001004 Great Western Way, Swindon)
Great Western Way between The Meads and Mannington Roundabout. Traffic to be diverted via B4006 Great Western Way, Rodbourne Road, Park Lane, Westcott Place and A3102 Wotton Bassett Road. Works are expected to take place overnight on the 19 and 20 February 2025.
(STR001000 Acorn Bridge, Swindon)
A420 at Acorn Bridge. Traffic to be diverted via A4312 Oxford Road, A361 (Swindon Road Stratton St Margaret, Highworth Road Highworth, Lechlade Road Inglesham), A417 (St John Street Buscot, Lechlade Road Buscot, Park Road Faringdon, A420 Faringdon and vice versa. Works are expected to take place overnight on the 13 February 2025.
(STR000999 Cricklade Road, Swindon)
Cricklade Road between Kembrey Street and Menham Close. Traffic to be diverted via A4311 Cirencester Road. Works are expected to take place during day time hours on the 10 February 2025.
(STR001003 Durham Street, Swindon)
Durham Street between the junction with Victoria Road and the entrance to Queens Park. Traffic to be diverted via Groundwell Road, Victoria Road and vice versa. Works are expected to take place during day time hours on the 7 February 2025. (STR001001 Grove Hill, Highworth) Grove Hill. Traffic to be diverted via A361 Lechlade Road, St Michaels Avenue and vice versa. Works are expected to take place during day time hours between 5 to 6 February 2025.
(STR000998 Beechcroft Road and St Philips Road, Swindon)
Beechcroft Road at the junction with St Philips Road and St Philips Road between Beechcroft Road and Farrfield. Beechcroft Road Closure traffic to be diverted via Hyde Road, Arkwright Drive, A4311 Cricklade Road and vice versa St Philips Road Closure traffic to be diverted via St Philips Road and Dores Road. Works are expected to take place during day time hours on the 11 February 2025.
