Brent, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Prohibition and Parking Suspension

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) (as amended)

ECCLESTONE PLACE, HARROW ROAD (WEMBLEY), HIGH ROAD (WEMBLEY), PARK LANE and WEMBLEY HILL ROAD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC and PARKING SUSPENSION) ORDER 2025

The Council of the London Borough of Brent hereby give notice that, to facilitate carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works in Harrow Road, Wembley, High Road Wembley and Wembley Hill Road, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to:-

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering, proceeding, waiting, loading or unloading in that lengths of:-

(i) Ecclestone Place, which lies between the north-eastern kerb-line of High Road, Wembley and a point 20.00 metres north-east of that kerb-line;

(ii) Harrow Road, Wembley, which lies between the north-western kerb-line of Oakington Manor Drive and its junction with High Road, Wembley;

(iii) High Road, Wembley, which lies between its junction with Harrow Road, Wembley and the eastern kerb-line of Cecil Avenue;

(iv) Wembley Hill Road, which lies between its junctions with High Road, Wembley / Harrow Road, Wembley and its junction with South Way / Mostyn Avenue;

(b) further to (a)(ii) and (iii) above prohibit vehicles (except busses or dial-a-ride busses or a vehicle being utilised by Local Authorities or their contractors to provide Home-to-School transport, as required by the Education Act 1996) to proceed in:-

(i) a certain length of Harrow Road, Wembley, which lies directly outside Nos. 321 to 337 Harrow Road, Wembley (55.2 metres in length and 3.5 metres in width);

(ii) a certain length of Harrow Road, Wembley, and High Road, Wembley, north-east sides, which lies between the north-western kerb-line of Oakington Manor Drive and south-eastern kerb-line of Ecclestone Place (217.0 metres in length and 3.5 metres in width);

Please Note: Enforcement Cameras will monitor this restriction. A Penalty Charge Notice will be issued under the relevant enabling powers for any contravention that might occur with the charges being £130 full and a reduced cost of £65;

(c) suspend the one-way working in Ecclestone Place, to allow traffic to proceed in both directions;

(d) suspend the use of the existing permit holders’ parking places in Ecclestone Place:-

(i) adjacent No. 19 Wembley Hill Road;

(ii) outside Nos. 1 to 3 and adjacent No. 4;

(iii) outside Nos. 13 to 16;

(e) suspend the use of the existing goods vehicle loading places in Ecclestone Place adjacent No. 19 Wembley Hill Road;

(f) suspend part of the bus lane in High Road, Wembley, the south-east side, from a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 354 and 356 to 368 High Road, Wembley to a point opposite the south-eastern kerb-line of Ecclestone Place;

(g) suspend the use of the existing Wembley Event Day parking places in Park Lane between the common boundary of No. 209/207 to No. 169, when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions referred to in (a) and (c) to (g) above will apply between 13th January 2025 and 4th June 2025 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

The prohibition referred to in (b)(i) above will apply between 13th January 2025 and 21st April 2025 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

The prohibition referred to in (b)(i) above will apply between 13th January 2025 and 21st April 2025 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

The prohibition referred to in (b)(ii) above will apply between 21st April 2025 and 19th May 2025 inclusive, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

If delays occur alternative dates will be displayed in advance either on the Council’s website or indicated by signages, as appropriate.

Access to premises in or adjacent to Ecclestone Place, Harrow Road, Wembley, High Road Wembley and Wembley Hill Road will be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

Vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions and suspension referred to in (a) to (c) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.

Letters will be distributed, and signage placed in advance of any works in the roads or lengths of roads specified above, which will give more specific details of the effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.

As specified - Any vehicle in contravention of the temporary restrictions or prohibitions at a time when these restrictions or prohibitions apply will be issued with a penalty charge notice.
