What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C650 AMPTON ROAD, INGHAM
Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the C650 Ampton Road, Ingham from the junction with the A134 to the junction with Maltings Lane to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be New Road, the A134 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 14/01/2025 -16/01/2025 from 8am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to KHS Traffic Management. Tel: 07745 647799.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5722 WHERSTEAD ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5722 Wherstead Road, Ipswich from Hawes Street to Sinclair Drive to facilitate carriageway works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion routes will be:
1. Hawes Street, Station Street, Wherstead Road and vice versa 2.Craft Street, Bruff Road, Sinclair Drive, Wherstead Road and vice versa.
It is Intended that the closure will operate on 03/01/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Kelly Communications. Tel: (02476) 642823.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U6320 EAST BARTON ROAD, GREAT BARTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6320 East Barton Road, Great Barton to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Mount Road, Rougham, Mount Road, Orttewell Road, Bury St Edmunds, the A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 - 17/01/2025 from 8am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U8015 ELDERSTUB LAND AND THE GREEN, ROUGHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases: 1. U8015 Elderstub Lane, Rougnam 2. U8015 The Green, Rougham.
This is to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
1. Blackthorpe, Almshouse Road, The Green and vice versa
2. Elderstub Lane, Blackthorpe, Almshouse Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
1.13/01/2025- 15/01/2025
2.15/01/2025- 17/01/2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3125 ARWELA ROAD, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3125 Arwela Road, Felixstowe from no. 14 for 20 metres eastbound to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Langer Road, Manwick Road, Sea Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1075 FALCON STREET, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1075 Falcon Street, Ipswich from Silent Street for 30 metres westbound to facilitate remedial water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion routes will be:
1. (Westbound) Franciscan Way, Greyfriars Road, Star Lane, Waterworks Street, Eagle Street, Orwell Place, Tacket Street and no vice versa
2. [Southbound) St Peters Street, Star Lane, Waterworks Street, Eagle Street, Orwell Place, Tacket Street and no vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 12/01/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months for longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A12 HACHESTON, HACHESTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A12 Hacheston, Hacheston from northbound between the A12 Hacheston northbound off slip to the A12 Hacheston northbound on slip to facilitate vegetation clearance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be A12 Hacheston northbound off slip, Ashe Road, A12 Hacheston northbound on slip with no vice versa. For the duration of this closure the layby within this area will be closed on a 24/7 basis.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 -18/01/2025 from 8pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer If extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2831 EASTBRIDGE ROAD, LEISTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2831 Eastbridge Road, Leiston from the junction with the B1122 to the junction with the access road from the 2831 to Upper Abbey to facilitate the replacement of a telecommunications pole. Other co-ordinated woiks may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Eastbridge Road, Theberton, Leiston Road, Cemetery Road, Bakers Hill, Potter Street, the B1122 and vice versa.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7420 Folly Lane, Lawshall from Brands Lane to Appleberry House to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Brands Lane, Hawstead, Brands Lane, Lawshall, Brands Lane, Bradfield Combust, Bury Road, Bradfield Combust, Bury Road, Lawshall, Rectory Comer, Lambs Lane, Golden Lane and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1066 PARK ROAD, BOXTED
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1066 Park Road, Boxted from Park Farm House for 50 metres northbound to facilitate pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1066, the A143, the A1302, the A134, the A1092, the B1066 and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate on 12/01/2025 from 9:30am - 3:30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1079 NEW STREET, WOODBRIDGE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1079 New Street, Woodbridge from no. 52 for 25 metres eastbound to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1079, the A12, the B1438, the B1079, Vicarage Hill, St Johns Hill and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/01/2025 -14/01/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2510 GLOUCESTER ROAD, U2541 LAKE AVENUE AND U2545 BUNBURY ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
· U2545 Bunbury Road, Bury St Edmunds from Acacia Avenue to Lake Avenue
· U2510 Gloucester Road, Bury St Edmunds from Lake Avenue to Acacia Avenue/ Bunbury Road
· U2541 Lake Avenue, Bury St Edmunds from Gloucester Road to Tennyson Road.
This is to facilitate a footway reconstruction. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion routes will be:
· Acacia Avenue, Gloucester Road. Lake Avenue and vice versa
· Acacia Avenue, Severn Road, Lake Avenue and vice versa
· Gloucester Road, Acacia Avenue, Severn Road, Lake Avenue and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1605 MARKET PLACE, KESSINGLAND
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1605 Market Place, Kessingland from no. 1 to Orchard House to facilitate fibre ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Whites Lane, High Street and vice versa.
